Senate Passes Foreign Aid Package 79-18
House Session - January 15, 2009

The House continued work on new conditions and regulations for the Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP) funds, the federal fund to help the financial industry. President George W. Bush requested the second half of the $700 billion fund be released. Member were considering whether to set restrictions and oversight on how the money was used.
