They also talked about the anticipated arrival of high-definition radios that would allow consumers to copy songs directly.</description>

The second panel heard testimony on reducing runway incursions, air traffic control modernization, industry safety record, and maintenance practices. They also discussed the role of repair stations in maintaining the safety and strength of the U.S. Airline industry.</description>

Among the topics they addressed were levels of corporate profits, recent price spikes, potential market manipulation by suppliers, and proposed windfall profits taxes for the industry. They also answered questions from members on investments in refineries, how profits were being invested, and the impact of energy regulation on industry expansion.
 
 Executives were not sworn despite efforts by Democratic members to have the testimony under oath.</description>
