Mr. Scott talked about his book The Older the Fiddle, the Better the Tune: The Joys of Reaching a Certain Age, published by Hyperion. In the book Mr. Scott declared that the happiest times of people's lives are their childhood and their "old age." To prove this thesis, he interviewed people across a spectrum of ages and professions, including actors, astronauts, writers, and program hosts to solicit their thoughts on getting older. The responses are a compilation of short letters, essays, paragraphs and quotes that provided a generally optimistic view from senior citizens.
