Alice Walker talked about We Are the Ones We Have Been Waiting For: Inner Light in a Time of Darkness (New Press), her book of essays about progressive politics and spirtuality, as well as her children's book on Langston Hughes. She also spoke of the recent death of her sister and took questions from the audience. Before the event, audience members waiting in line outside the bookstore to hear Ms. Walker speak were interviewed.
