Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, accompanied by U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice and Special Envoy to Sudan Scott Gration, talked about U.S. policy toward Sudan. They said the U.S. would drop sanctions on Sudan if the nation eased the humanitarian crisis in Darfur, implemented the north-south peace accord brokered by the U.S. in 2005, and did not harbor terrorists.
