Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner testified on the current global economic crisis and proposed reforms discussed during the Pittsburgh G-20. In his testimony he urged Congress to pass significant regulatory reforms to empower his agency and others to better protect against another economic crisis. He also said that the G-20 would endure for some time and talked about its potential role in financial reforms and encouraging "green" economies.
