Funeral service honoring the life and legacy of civil rights leader Dr. Dorothy I. Height was held. Dr. Height, who was chair and president emerita of the National Council of Negro Women, died at the age of 98 on Tuesday, April 20, 2010.

President Obama delivered the eulogy.

The television signal was lost briefly near the end of the program after the funeral had concluded. Coverage continued as the coffin was moved to a hearse.
