Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Patrick Leahy spoke to reporters about the nomination of Solicitor General Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court. In his remarks he said he was pleased with the nomination and stated that he had urged President Obama to choose a nominee who was outside the judiciary.
