Rep. McCloskey discussed his views on the role of the United States, NATO, and the United Nations in the conflict in the former Yugoslavia. Topics included recent changes in American public opinion concerning air strikes against the Bosnian Serbs surrounding the city of Sarajevo. Today, NATO is taking up a proposal to use such air strikes against the Bosnian Serb positions if they do not withdraw their heavy artillery from the area.
