A panel discussion was held on gender issues for African-Americans. Crystal Lander began the session by defining "sexism," "gender," "sex," and "feminism" as used by panel members. Topics included historical fissures between African-American men and white women, equal pay for equal work, work-family balance, and daycare. Michelle Bernard moderated.
