To mark the fifth anniversary of the Atomic Testing Museum a dedication ceremony had been held for two artifacts from the World Trade Center, a one-ton section of an I-beam and a piece of sheet metal, being added to the collection.
In the program after the dedication, Sergeant Major Tony Rose, U.S. Army (Ret.), talked about his experiences during the attack on the Pentagon, during which he rescued several of his fellow soldiers. A video clip from CBS which was shown of Sgt. Maj. Rose is not included due to copyright issues.
Lee Ielpi and Fred Sager of the World Trade Center Tribute Foundation gave a multi-media presentation about the World Trade Center. It included video of the World Trade Center in operation before September 11, 2001, and of the recovery and cleanup efforts after the terrorist attacks. New York City Fire Department radio transmissions from firefighters in the South Tower of the World Trade Center on the morning of September 11, 2001, were played. The presentation included pictures from the 1993 bomb attack, the Pentagon, and Pennsylvania, as well as of the attack and its aftermath, including the Tribute WTC Visitor Center. They responded to questions from members of the audience.
Randy Soard presented an artistic tribute to the guest speakers. The Nevada Test Site Fire and Rescue honor guard, with bagpipes, conducting a Bell Ringing ceremony to close the program.
