The Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee considered the nomination of Michael Huerta to be administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). He was appointed as the deputy administrator of the FAA in June 2010, and had been serving as acting administrator of the FAA since December 2011.
