Prime Minister Cameron addressed the House of Commons after attending a two-day summit with European leaders to discuss the region’s debt crisis. Leaders from the 27-member European Union (EU) agreed on banking and financial measures to assist struggling economies, like Spain and Italy. The prime minister told members that there is a “real benefit” in staying in the EU but that the United Kingdom should seek to have “looser relationships” within the European Union.
