The second panel of the Congressional Asian Pacific American was held. The panelists expanded upon the themes of the first panel and discussed the problem of perception in the news coverage of Asian Pacific Americans' involvement in campaign finance controversies. For instance, it was pointed out that Asian Pacific Americans are referred to as aliens when they should be referred to as citizens. The panelists questioned whether the same treatment would be given to Europeans or American Jews, for example. Following the discussion, the panel took questions from the audience.
