Gerald Blaine, Lisa McCubbin, and Clint Hill talked about their book The Kennedy Detail: JFKs Secret Service Agents Break Their Silence. In this book, for the first time, a member of President Kennedy’s Secret Service detail reveals the inside story of the assassination on November 22, 1963, the weeks and days that led to it and its aftermath. Gerald Blaine talked about what inspired him to write this book after decades of silence from all of the Secret Service agents involved. Lisa McCubbin talked about doing research for the book. Clint Hill talked about why he contributed to the book.
They were interviewed at the 33rd Annual National Press Club Book Fair and Authors' Night, a fundraiser for the Eric Friedheim National Journalism Library and The SEED Foundation held Tuesday, November 9, 2010 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
