He responded to questions from members of the audience. Thomas H. Dupree, Jr., is a lawyer who has argued cases before Judge Sotomayor and who served in the Justice Department in the administration of President George W. Bush. He has argued more than 60 appeals in the federal courts, including in all thirteen circuits and before five en banc courts.
