The Second Circuit Court of Appeals heard oral argument in appeals against the decisions in lower courts of Fox News Network LLC v. Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and Bloomberg LP v. Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. Both the Fox News Network and Bloomberg asked, using the Freedom of Information Act, that the U.S. Federal Reserve be forced to reveal the identities of financial institutions that may have collapsed without assistance from the government’s emergency lending programs. close
