Michael Quinn gave a tour of the home of James and Dolley Madison and talked about why the fourth president of the United States is often called “the father of the U.S. Constitution.” Montpelier, the home of President James Madison, is located ninety miles south of the nation’s capital. The 2,650 acre estate in Orange County, Virginia, is a property of the National Trust for Historic Preservation that is managed by the Montpelier Foundation.
