Judge Pryor moderated a panel discussion on the federalist approach to executive power in wartime. The panelists addressed questions such as whether President Bush has acted legally in regard the war in Iraq, whether Congress has exceeded its constitutional powers, and what role if any the Judiciary should have in mediating these disputes? Topics included the Separation of Powers, the National Guard, executive power in wartime, and the role of the commander-in-chief. After their presentations the panelists responded to audience members' questions.

This event was part of the Federalist Society’s annual National Lawyers Convention. The theme of the convention was “Limited Government.”
