Current and former Republican members of Congress and representatives of conservative organizations spoke in a news conference to announce the release of the Republican Party’s alternative budget plan to the CLinton economic plan called The Putting Jobs and the American Family First Act. Rep. Grams said the Republican plan would balance the federal budget within five years without raising taxes, and with tax credits for American families with children. He said the Clinton economic plan was effectively dead, and the Republican plan would provide families with tax relief, the best investment in the U.S. Rep. Dornan spoke on his nine grandchildren and lesbians.
