Witnesses testified about broadcast ownership rules. Following witness testimony, the commissioners heard comments from private citizens. The FCC is required by law to hold a public hearing every two years in order to determine which rules governing broadcast ownership are still in the public interest, and eliminate any rules that cannot be properly justified.
