President Obama said that federal contractors that violate labor laws should not get a competitive advantage over companies that play by the rules as he signed the Fair Pay and Safe Workplace executive order. It requires federal contractors to disclose labor law violations and gives federal agencies guidance for how to take these violations into account when awarding contracts. President Obama also said that the Republican lawsuit against him was a waste of time and taxpayers' money and would not stop him from helping American families. He said that if Republicans wanted him to stop issuing executive orders then they needed to start working with the White House. close
