A women’s tea honored House Speaker-designate Nancy Pelosi prior to the 110th Congress convening on January 4. The late Democratic Texas Governor Ann Richards was also honored. Videotaped tributes to each woman’s life were shown. Rep. DeLauro and honoree Rep. Pelosi talked about many strong women who were successful in politics.
