James Comey on C-SPAN

James Comey, reportedly the nominee for FBI director, has twenty-one appearances on C-SPAN. One timely one is a 2007 forum in which he discusses the process and issues of media subpoenas. Here is a clip of his remarks.

Michele Bachmann Announces Retirement

Michele Bachmann (R-MN) announced that she would not seek re-election. Rep. Bachmann has had 238 appearances on C-SPAN. Many of these have been speeches on the House floor. In her early years in the House, she was quite active on the floor appearing 46 days in 2009. In 2012, she appeared only five times. She was vocal in her opposition to President Obama’s health care reform as we see in this clip.

She also spoke a lot on the Alternative Minimum Tax.

In 2012, she ran for president. Here she is on the day of the Iowa Caucuses explaining her positions on a C-SPAN call-in program.

House Benghazi Hearings

The House Oversight Committee holds a hearing this week on the Benghazi killings. C-SPAN has sixty-seven programs where the word Benghazi appears. All these programs can be reviewed here. Five of these are House hearings and five are Senate hearings. Secretary Clinton testified before the House and the Senate.
