Viewers trying to follow the Senate debate on health care will learn a lot about Senate rules and procedures from a recent Washington Journal call-in. On Thursday, December 17, John Bresnahan from Politico was our guest. He discussed the nature of the Senate and the rules which are affecting the Senate health care bill. On Wednesday, December 16, an objection by Senator Colburn required the reading of an amendment by Senator Sanders until Sanders withdrew the amendment over objections from Republicans.
